Abstract
Symptoms of stroke may be associated with female or male sex as seen in acute coronary syndromes where female sex is increasingly prone to present with atypical symptoms, stroke chameleons. Misinterpretation of stroke chameleons may cause delayed treatment. We aimed to explore the sex differences in presentation of acute typical and atypical stroke symptoms that prompt medical attention for stroke treatment.
