  • Abstract

Delayed cerebral ischaemia (DCI) and hydrocephalus are the most common complications that predict poor outcomes after aSAH. There is contrasting evidence on differences by sex in these complications. We therefore aimed to examine sex differences in DCI and hydrocephalus (i.e., acute, chronic) following aSAH in a systematic review and meta-analysis.
