AbstractResearch to identify effective treatments for psychopathology has benefited immensely from focus on biomarker identification. Despite the high prevalence of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) (1-5%), identification of biomarkers has lagged behind the field for this population. Even less data is available on potential gender differences in biomarkers for BPD. We reviewed the state of the field with focus on EEG markers of BPD pathology and recovery.
